Porcelain Rectangular Tiles

Each of these porcelain tiles are hand-sculpted and unique pieces of work. The porcelain is rolled and cut as a rectangle. Natural subtle undulations occur during the firing (such is the nature of porcelain in these conditions) which adds to their organic character making them feel more like works of art rather than just wall decoration. The patterns are created by imprinting various materials such as seeds and gains into the porcelain while still wet. These are incinerated during firing leaving an impression which the artist then decorates with a matte charcoal coloured glaze.
