Libertia chilensis (Chilean Iris)
Like a little Phormium with white orchid-like flower spikes. Grows to about 3ft. Does well in a pot, flowers for weeks and weeks. Please contact us for other stock availability and sizes.
Hardiness level Amber
Mini Phormiums with prodigious quantities of white flowers in late spring/early summer. Easy, reliable, well behaved and the flowers are long lasting. The plant's evergreen but as with most herbaceous stuff, it's worth cutting them to the ground (a single swipe with a good sharp pair of Okatune Shears) in early March so all the summer's growth is new, fresh and green rather than new fresh and green but full of all last year's dead stuff.
Can grow to 2ft x 2ft with 3ft flower spikes.
Propagated by us from seed and/or division.
