Iris confusa (Bamboo Iris)
The most exotic looking Iris by far. Great sprays of palmy, bambooey leaves on the end of 2 or 3 ft stems. Small white flowers in midsummer. Please contact us for stock availability and sizes.
Hardiness level Amber
Lush and palmy with great fingery leaves that curve over in a bamboo like manner. No wonder it's sometimes called the Confused Iris. You could be forgiven for not recognising it as an Iris until it flowers. Lots of little white Iris-like flowers in summer. We also oddly have blue ones on the nursery every now and then too, don't ask why.
Any reasonably good and well drained soil in sun or partial shade but do something about those slugs or they'll make a right mess of them. It can reach 2ft - more in the shade.
Propagated by us by division.
