Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue'

Blue Grass. Does it sit on a mountain top in Kentucky planying the banjo? No. It’s a lovely little blue moundy grass from central Europe. Grows to 2ft across and 1ft high. Wispy flower heads to 2ft in summer. This form is bluer and probably hardier than the type (straight Festuca glauca).

Position in masses of light and in well drained soil. Cut down in late Feb for lots of fresh blue in the summer. Produced by division.
