Hardiness level Green
A hardy evergreen, clump forming plant with golden variegated grassy looking leaves. Grown in moist areas or as a pond marginal. It could reach 50cm tall and across. It will take full sun or shade and isn't too fussy about soil. When it gets on a bit and develops an open habit in the centre, it can be lifted, divided and then replanted. It's larger than its brother - Acorus gramineus 'Variegata'. As a single plant it doesn't look particularly amazing but we put it in mass planting schemes and it comes alive. It also works incredibly well in damp spots and brightens up a corner of the garden. The mother plant came from Robin's garden near Gatwick (he absolutely loves them).
Propagated by division, by us.
